From Seattle To Thailand, To Malaysia, And Back To Thailand, A Photo Journey Part 3

A gorgeous view of the Wat Arun Temple as it sit gracefully along the Chao Phraya River, in fact, the best place to view this temple to its fullest if from the river, and the trusted public transportation, the ferry boats, are wonderful option, provided that you sit on the right site of the boat. Definitely one of the best landscape view in Bangkok, one of the best landmark in the world. Cruising The Chao Phraya River With Boat Ferry And Admiring The Diverse Riverfront Landscape Of Bangkok | Thailand

My hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the Sathorn Central Pier, so the public ferry system became my main transportation going about downtown Bangkok.  This is something to consider when selecting a place to stay, living close to the river and close to a ferry terminal has it’s advantages.

From Seattle To Thailand, To Malaysia, And Back To Thailand, A Photo Journey Part 2

A cat I find at one of the indoor market in Bangkok, It's ok to have a cat guarding a fruit stand because we all know cats are vegetarian, they won't look twice at the fruit for sell by the vendor, they are there for the mouse! A perfect symbiotic relationship with the human, that's what the human think anyway ... Walking Around Bangkok By The Chao Phraya River In the Early Morning | Thailand

Arriving Bangkok pretty late, or rather, pretty early; by the time I reach the hotel (Centre Point Hotel Silom), its already around 3 am, so it depends on how you look at it.

I knew my arriving time, so I have decided not to pay for the night I don’t really use, instead, I will rest in the hotel in the wee hour upon arrival and hang out around the city until check in time. Being a cheapskate that I am, I thought this was a fantastic idea. Come on, I saved a day!

Thank God the hotel is very accommodating with the idea, they took my luggage, store it safely, and led me to their 4th floor lobby and let me sleep there, customer service is first class, a great start in Bangkok.

Its a trip to Thailand! It’s a trip to Thailand! Indeed it was, It was very last minute as well, at first it was just going to Malaysia, which is my hometown, to take care of some business, but Thailand was added to it at the very last moment, maybe like a week before take off, it really is a why not thing, and I never been to Thailand, and I have always wanted to see Thailand, so, it makes sense. All airfare has to be changed, abruptly, and I have to figure out logistic and logging in a hurry, it’s a hustle, but it’s also super exciting, come on, its Thailand, how can you not be excited??

For the past two three years, we have been avoiding thanksgiving, this year is no exception, we have decided to skip it and head to Vancouver.  Although Canada has been our favorite spot to avoid turkey day, but mostly, we were staying at Whistler.  Not this year, this year, we want to stay at the heart of Vancouver and take a closer look at the city.
