The rolling clouds can’t cover up the whole bright blue sky above them, so the heaven above constantly find an opening to take a peek on the world.  It was a truly interesting day, bright white clouds mix-in with dark storm clouds while the sun is clearly bright and the sky is vibrantly blue.

The Cascades Mountain Range is not always visible, sometimes it is hidden behind thick mists and clouds.  The Cascades is only visible on very clear days and unique day such as this one.  It’s quite a blessing to live around here, to have a chance to be close to this stunning view from time to time.

I do not know the name of this mountain, I check Google map but it didn’t say.  This mountain is not always cover with white snow, but when it is, it is amazingly stunning, especially under bright sun.

On this day, there are no bright sun above, but it is as stunning.  The mountain is standing tall and strong in the storm, it disappear and reappear endlessly as the clouds and mists move in the out.  I felt like I was standing in the land of middle earth (Lord Of The Ring), I wouldn’t be surprise at this point if a hobbit walk by me, turn around, and bit me good day with their unique smile and accent.

Of course this place is no New Zealand where Lord Of The Ring was film.  In reality, I have to try very hard to avoid a lot of the man made objects while taking these photos, albeit not always successful.  After all, I am in the middle of a residential area, so I have to shoot above “roof-lines” to get clean shots of the Cascades.

Although I got some of those clean shots, it is not always easy.  Well, considering these shots are taken in my backyard during a leisure afternoon stroll, and I do not have to hire a helicopter or join an extreme expedition tour for these photo, I would say it workout just fine.

Even though some of the cascade photos still have some man made objects in it, like these power lines in the photo above, I think it still work out fine.  I think it added some human elements into the photo, make it feel real.  Do you feel the same way?  Let me know :)
